We investigate cooperative phenomena in light-matter platforms, focusing on superradiance, subradiance, dipole-dipole interactions, and their technological applications. We utilize Lindblad master equations for open quantum systems and coupled dipole models to analyze these interactions.

We begin by examining the properties of light scattering from cold atomic clouds, particularly the effects of static magnetic dipole moments on superradiance, subradiance, and the vacuum Rabi splitting. To study this system, we extend the commonly used coupled dipole model to include static magnetic dipole interactions.

Next, we explore regular two-dimensional arrangements of atoms, emphasizing technological ap-plications. By leveraging atomic level structures, we design linear optical elements using a single array of atoms. We also address the challenge of chiral sensing of molecules, utilizing a cavity formed by helicity-preserving mirrors, where each mirror consists of two layers of atomic arrays.

Furthermore, we investigate molecular systems, deriving analytical rates for Kasha's rule in H-aggregates and illustrating the role of vibrational degrees of freedom in these molecular systems. Additionally, we study the Doppler cooling of molecules in optical cavities, aiming to leverage the Purcell effect to enhance cooling by suppressing the trapping of populations in rovibrational manifolds. We find improvements for single molecules, however, there is no collective enhancement and the final velocity shows no dependence on particle number.

Overall, these investigations contribute to a deeper understanding of cooperative effects in atomic and molecular platforms, which hold promise for various technological applications.
