A defense under very special circumstances, via Zoom — everything went well, in terms of content anyway, and technically there were only two minimal hiccups. Constanze Gerner defended her dissertation with great success in a very lively defense despite the purely virtual meeting. The Zoom reception afterwards was also a nice experience – and didn’t have to take place dry thanks to excellent beverage logistics. Congratulations, Dr. Gerner!
